Exercise your eyes: Blink your eyes several times. While you keep your eyes closed, roll your eyeballs both clockwise and anticlockwise and take a deep breath. Splash: Splash water on your face while closing your eyes. This has an overall relaxing effect and helps you feel refreshed. Drink: Drink plenty of water during the day. Eat healthy: Incorporate Vitamins A, C, and E on a daily basis. Contact lenses: Avoid using lenses for more than 10-12 hours a day Look away: Take visual breaks for about five to 10 minutes every hour. Palming: Sit straight at your workstation and rub your palms against each other till you feel them warm.

Iris: The colored part of the eye.
Eyelid: the skin-covered structure that protects the front of the eye; limits light entering the eye; and spreads tears over the cornea.
Pupil: The circular opening in the center of iris through which light passes into the lens of the eye. The iris muscles control the size of the pupil. The pupil appears as the black circle in the center of the eye.
Sclera: The white part of the eye, a tough covering with which the cornea forms the external protective coat of the eye.

• PHACO and Foldable Lens
Phaco is performed by inserting an ultrasound probe into the eye to soften and emulsify the hardened lens, so that it can be removed by aspiration through a titanium needle

• A word on Eye Transplant

What is eye transplantation

Eye transplantation is a misnomer. Actually till date we are just doing corneal transplantation that is changing of diseased cornea from the eye of a donor. It is also known as Keratoplasty or corneal grafting.
